Everything in heaven and on earth belongs to God.
1 Chronicles 29:11 has been sitting with me all week. it says:
“Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the
majesty and the splendour, for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.”
This verse feels like a reset button.
David, the writer, is in this beautiful moment of worship, recognizing that everything—every bit of greatness, power, and glory—is God’s. not ours.
Think about that for a second. the same God who created every star, every ocean wave, every grain of sand… is the same God who created you.
And not only does He create, but He rules.
He’s over everything—the good, the hard, the in-between.
nothing slips through His hands.
That hit me hard.
Because sometimes I put so much pressure on myself to figure everything out, to carry every burden.
This verse reminds me: God is enough. He’s in control, not me.
So how do we live this out? I think it starts with trust.
When life feels overwhelming, instead of gripping tighter, maybe we open our hands and say, “God, this is Yours.”
In saying that, it’s also about worship. not just in a “singing at church” kind of way, but in how we live. how we treat others.
How we handle what’s been entrusted to us.
And then there’s gratitude. when we realise everything belongs to Him, even the small, everyday moments feel sacred.
Today maybe, you just need this reminder: you don’t have to carry it all.
You can rest in the truth that everything—your wins, your worries, your whole life—is already His.
Sit with that for a bit. Let it sink in.
I pray and I hope this verse touched you in the way it did for me.
